12-10-2023 Notifications Beta Update

Release Notes: Enhanced Notifications Feature

We are thrilled to introduce significant updates to our notifications feature, now fully redesigned and available exclusively on our web application. This change aligns with our commitment to providing accessible, user-friendly services across all devices and platforms.

Key Updates:

  1. Notification Status Field on Web App: Users will now see a the 'Notification Status' field on the Web Application, which provides real-time updates on the status of sent notifications, including when a customer is 'notified', and when they confirm or cancel.

  2. Optimized Notification Delivery: We've added a default filter that ensures customers receive only one notification per trip by default, reducing the likelihood of repeated alerts. This filter can be customized on the notification submission screen to fit your specific needs.

  3. Bug Fix - Notification Status Update: We've resolved a critical bug where the notification status was not updating on the Desktop. This fix ensures that the 'notified', 'confirmed', and 'canceled' statuses are accurately reflected on the Desktop Application, enhancing the reliability of the notification system.

  4. Upcoming Features: We are working on a setting to send subsequent notifications only to those customers who have not yet confirmed or canceled their trips, further streamlining the communication process.

Beta Testers - A Heartfelt Thank You: Your feedback has been instrumental in these developments. We encourage you to continue sharing your insights as we refine and enhance the notifications feature.

Looking Ahead: Another key bug that our Beta testers identified and that we are working on, is sending notifications to customers whose trips are canceled.  We plan on having this corrected by early this week

We're confident that these updates will significantly enhance your experience with our notifications system. As always, we're here to support you through this transition and beyond.

Warm Regards,

The MediRoutes Development Team
